"I think we have a good pace going into the race, and I'm aiming for the podium," Quartararo stated confidently after his run. Nearby in the standings was Jack Miller from Prima Pramac Yamaha, who finished third with a time of 1m57.642s.
"This track is always unpredictable, but we’re feeling strong,” Miller said, reflecting on how he can battle for a top spot in the race.
Marc Marquez and Marco Bezzecchi demonstrated fierce competitiveness, finishing fourth and fifth, respectively. Marc Marquez emphasized the importance of consistency. "It’s not just about one fast lap; you have to manage the entire session," he explained.
As the practice sessions continued, the third session saw Fabio Quartararo elevate his performance further, achieving the fastest lap time of 1m59.032s. "I’m happy with the progress we’ve made; the adjustments after Practice 2 definitely helped," Quartararo noted, underscoring how vital team communication and collaboration have been.
Marc Marquez again pushed hard, following Quartararo closely, finishing with a best time of 1m59.424s. "The bike is feeling good, and I’m excited for the sprint tomorrow," said Marquez, echoing the sentiment of anticipation shared by many riders heading into the sprint qualifying.
The sprint qualifying turned heads as Alex Marquez once again took center stage by securing pole position. His time of 1m58.714s outpaced the field significantly, with Marc Marquez trailing him by a 3.511s gap. In retrospect, Alex stated, "To take pole is a great feeling; I just need to focus on a good start tomorrow."
Fabio Di Giannantonio, riding for Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team, also made a splash, securing third in sprint qualifying. He conveyed optimism, saying, "Starting in the top three is critical; I’ll do my best to make the most of it."
