Major League Volleyball's Omaha Supernovas completed a heavy stretch of games in early April with wins at home against Indy Ignite on the fourth and Dallas Pulse on the twelfth, before immediately heading to Atlanta to face the Vibe on April 19.
The schedule compression reflects the reality of a 14-match regular season condensed into roughly three months. Each of the league's six franchises has chased roster stability while balancing international commitments from their star players, many of whom are also on national team rosters for the upcoming Volleyball Nations League.
Omaha remained the league's form side through the stretch. The Supernovas have dominated the home court all season, drawing the largest average attendances in Major League Volleyball history. Their April 4 match against Indy Ignite drew 29,161 viewers on the league's official YouTube stream alone.
The Dallas Pulse match on April 12 followed the same pattern: quick tempo from the Omaha setter, disciplined defence and heavy swings from the opposite position. The Supernovas finished in four sets.
Then came the short turnaround. Omaha boarded a Sunday-morning flight to Atlanta for a 3pm ET clash with the Vibe on April 19. The match, broadcast live on the league's streaming platform, drew 19,373 viewers.
Major League Volleyball's rapid growth has been a story of its own. The league launched in 2024 with seven franchises and an initial broadcast deal with the USA Network subsidiary covering select matches. Season two has expanded the official YouTube schedule to include all regular-season games, a move that has significantly broadened the league's international footprint.
"LOVB 2026 Season: What to Know About League One Volleyball," a recent USA Network promotional segment put it. The piece highlighted the league's headline signings and a noticeably deeper international talent pool for the second year of the competition.
Omaha now sit near the top of the table heading into the final month of regular-season play. The Vibe, Dallas Pulse and Indy Ignite are all still in playoff contention.
The MLV playoffs are scheduled for May 2026, with the final expected to be held in Las Vegas.
