The Magic City CrossFit Semifinal has qualified another wave of Masters athletes for the 2026 CrossFit Games, running as a Masters-only in-person semifinal a week after the Legends Championship Del Mar.
The event, held May 4, was timed one week after the Legends Championship and continued the program's effort to push the volume of Masters and age-group testing through dedicated semifinals rather than online qualifiers alone.
"The Masters-only competition qualified more athletes to the 2026 CrossFit Games," the event recap noted, with division-by-division qualifying lists locking in field places across all ten age divisions on offer.
In the men's 35-39 division, Marquan Jones, Erik Thomas and Austin Nedelcoff secured Games spots. The women's 35-39 division saw Marisa Flowers, Jessica Meek and Sami Scorzelli qualify.
The 40-44 division gave men's spots to Ross Bradley, Luis Perez and Joel Werner, while Megan Apostoleris, Megan Scales and Katrina LaClair locked in women's qualification.
In the 45-49 group, Chris Reil and David Johnston (men) and Lauren Cullen and Stephanie Roy (women) took Games tickets. The 50-54 division was headlined by Breck Berry and Mike Kern in the men's, with Christine Hoffmann and Misty Ritter qualifying in the women's.
Men's 55-59 was won by Chad Stewart, with Dana Mather taking the women's. Men's 60-64 went to Gregory Weate and women's to Angela Yates. The 65-69 division saw Wayne O'Hara (men) and Nancy Edmonson (women) qualify, while 70+ honours went to Doug Worrall and Betty Hardin.
The semifinal didn't release individual scores in its official recap, with the full leaderboard referred to Competition Corner's website, but the qualifier list confirmed the breadth of athletes earning Games tickets across the age divisions.
Magic City sat alongside the Legends Championship Del Mar in the in-person Masters semifinal block of the 2026 season. CrossFit's Masters-focused program continues to be one of the deepest age-group competitions in functional fitness, with the in-person semifinal route providing a parallel qualifying path to the Online Age Group Semifinal that runs across age groups via a five-workout online block.
The Masters CrossFit Games are scheduled for July 21-23, ahead of the overall CrossFit Games. The Magic City qualifiers join those out of Del Mar and the upcoming Online Age Group Semifinal in shaping the field for that competition.
For the broader CrossFit Games, the in-person semifinals so far have produced individual qualifiers including Victor Hoffer and Paige Rodgers from the Mayhem Classic and Henrik Haapalainen and Siria Meha from the Far East Throwdown. The full Games field continues to take shape across the rest of the semifinal block in May and June.
