Jean-Éric Vergne, a two-time series champion with DS Penske, commented on the thrills of the race, stating, "It’s always great to return to Brazil. The fans are incredibly passionate, and it adds to the atmosphere on the track. We had great support today."
As the competition unfolded, Dan Ticktum of the NISSAN Formula E Team experienced a dramatic race, showcasing the unpredictable nature of street racing. "We were in the mix, but street courses can bite back quickly if you’re not careful. I think we have some areas to improve before the next round, but it's part of the learning process," said Ticktum.
Other notable performances included a solid showing from Mitch Evans, who steered his Jaguar TCS Racing car through the course with precision. "We aimed to capitalize on every opportunity today, and I think we did well, but there's always more to strive for, that’s what keeps the competition alive," Evans shared.
Additionally, the race witnessed fierce battles in the midfield, especially among teams like Envision Racing and Mahindra Racing. Edoardo Mortara's driving for Mahindra was instrumental in their competitive edge. "Every point counts in this championship, and we’re pushing hard to stay in contention. It was a good day for us," said Mortara.
Sebastien Buemi, a veteran racer now with Nissan, highlighted the nuances of adapting to a new car technology. "With GEN3, everything has changed quite a lot. It’s not just about speed; it’s about managing energy smartly throughout the race. Every lap is crucial."
The drivers have now set their sights on the next round, eager to climb higher in the championship standings. Jake Dennis of Andretti Formula E expressed optimism about upcoming races. "After today’s results, we have a clearer picture of what we need to focus on moving forward. A strong finish here gives us momentum."
