The 2024 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix concluded with Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing securing the top position. The race took place at the Bahrain International Circuit from February 29 to March 2, 2024, attracting motorsport fans from around the globe. Verstappen completed the race in an impressive time of 1:31:44.742.
"Today’s race was all about consistency and strategy," said Verstappen, reflecting on his dominant performance. He managed to fend off significant challenges from his teammate, Sergio Perez, who finished in second place. Perez clocked in at 22.457 seconds behind Verstappen, highlighting the seamless teamwork between the drivers.
In third place was Carlos Sainz driving for Ferrari, who finished with a time just 25.110 seconds off the leader. Sainz commented, "We had a solid race, but couldn’t quite catch the Red Bulls today. They were in a league of their own."

Charles Leclerc, also from Ferrari, claimed the fourth position, completing the race with a time of +39.669 seconds behind Verstappen. "It was tough out there today, but we learned a lot for the next races,“ said Leclerc, indicating that the scuderia is still working towards closing the gap with the leaders.
George Russell from Mercedes and Lando Norris of McLaren finished fifth and sixth respectively, both completing the race on the same lap as the leaders. Russell managed a time of +46.788 seconds, stating, "We’ve got some work to do, but the pace is improving, and I'm optimistic for the next race."
The race also saw veteran Lewis Hamilton taking seventh place, finishing in +50.324 seconds. Hamilton remarked, "Every race is a learning experience for us this season. We’re pushing hard to reclaim our top spots."
Oscar Piastri, another McLaren driver, ended the race in eighth position, securing valuable points for his team, while Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll finished in ninth and tenth places respectively for Aston Martin.
